Closing down the garden center
The garden center “Labklājības dārzi” welcomed its first client on June 15, 2013. More than 11 years have passed since that day. During this time, we offered our clients a wide assortment of plants from local nurseries, the basis of which was plants grown in our own nursery – Zaļenieki. Plants grown by us grow in a large part of Latvian gardens. This is a great joy and satisfaction!
Gardens were, are and will be one of the most beautiful parts of our planet, especially those created with love!
No matter how beautiful and noble it is to propagate, grow and sell trees and shrubs, the laws of economics apply to it, like any other business. A significant increase in the cost of growing seedlings and organizing trade has forced us to seriously evaluate future prospects. The bottom line is that it is no longer profitable to maintain a garden center.
Therefore, we have made the decision to close trading in Riga on August 25, 2024 (last trading day).
A huge thank you to all our customers for being with us and making each of your gardens, and with it - our entire Latvia, greener and more beautiful!
Our tree nursery in Zaļenieki continues to operate at its usual capacity, so please come to Zaļenieki, Kokauzdėtavas iela 1, not only to shop, but also to be inspired by the rich model garden, which features more than 2,000 different tree species and varieties!
Currently, the garden center "Labklājības dārzi" has seedlings and other garden products available at very good prices.
Discounts up to 70%.
Our goal is to sell most of the plants currently in the garden center by the end of August. Therefore, we will continue to change and increase the discounts.
Don't miss the Grand Pre-Closing Sale! It's a great opportunity to add our own grown plants to your garden at very attractive prices!
The “Well-being Gardens” project itself is not ending. It is transforming. Only the sale of seedlings in Riga is being closed. Our mission continues its life. From now on, one of our new services will be the design of self-sufficient ecosystems - forest gardens ( or food forests) .
A small insight into the project, where the forest garden was created using the Japanese biologist Akira Miyawaki's alien forest method:
