City or countryside – where is your Happy Land?
In 1920, only 24% of Latvian residents chose cities as their homes, and the remaining 76% - rural areas. For comparison: last year, in 2021, 68% lived in cities, and 32% in rural areas. So, over the past 100 years, the percentage distribution has changed almost diametrically opposite.
Although the last 100 years have seen significant urbanization - the concentration of people in cities - this time of rapid global change is bringing new trends in the choice of living space.
A survey conducted by Luminor Bank in early 2022 shows that approximately one-third of city dwellers would be willing to move to the countryside. In my opinion, this proportion, taking into account the increase in the cost of energy resources and other factors, continues and will continue to grow. More and more professions offer the opportunity to work remotely, when being in nature and at your workplace at the same time becomes not only a fashion trend, but also a vital necessity of life.
Humanity, on its path of development, sooner or later comes to the realization of what the best model for a happy life is. Each person, living the life they have provided for themselves and their family, eventually realizes whether it is really the lifestyle they would wish for their children and grandchildren.
Using our knowledge, experience, and desire to help people choose a prosperous living space, we have developed and offer a new consulting program: From idea to environmental design and start furnishing.
The video below tells and demonstrates both the program and several basic problems faced by those who choose to start a life in the countryside. Watch it, and maybe it will help you get to your Happy Land!
